Welcome to 2020, my friends. With renewed inspiration for life and love and all that is beautiful, lovely and life giving, I feel led in my spirit to write a few things down that have capturing my attention.

We’ve started the New Year with a bang. My work, as always, is a kaleidoscopic mix of discovery, inspiration, opportunity and adventure. After taking the holidays to really rest my mind and connect with the ones I love the most, I’ve come back with zero mind fog and a wide open heart.

But it’s not me with the big, brand new start to a new life this year.

Veronica, my beloved, has begun the journey to become a registered massage therapist. A dream first sparked many years ago, and renewed this past spring, she is engaging this endeavour with a sustained, focused intensity that I’ve previously only witnessed in brief flashes of brilliance. I couldn’t be more proud.

Filled with purpose, our home emanates an energy that could foster life, better than air, water or food.

Needless to say, our very full life has revealed an opportunity for mindful intention from the very moment open our eyes in the dim pre-dawn light until long after the house has gone quiet in the evening.

Each morning, we awake to a carefully curated soundtrack that draws us from our bed to the yoga mats across the room. We begin with some meditative, gentle stretches until the first song fades into another with increased intensity, and we cause our hearts to awaken and move life through our bloodstream, a communication of connection with the heart and the spirit, the mind with the body, generating the powerful, energetic life force required for another day of discovery and adventure in this beautiful, incredible world!

After my last look into the deep, dark chocolate eyes of my beloved as we said our goodbyes at the train station this morning, pulled from the curb and hit play on a random playlist. Suddenly I was surrounded by the lovely sounds of horns and the simple, swinging sounds of Louis Armstrong:

There’s so little time and so much to do
There’s so little time for dreams to come true
Many a ship to sail, many a magic land
Many a moonlit trail, many a road to walk hand in hand

There’s songs of love we never have sung
Let’s not waste one hour, the night is still young
Mama, a lifetime’s not enough for the love I have for you
There’s so little time, so much to do

Make your dreams come true. Will the desires of your heart into existence. Hustle. Go after it. See the opportunity that surrounds you and grasp it, make it your own. And…remember, Love is on your side and goes before you, beside you and behind you.

And, while you chase those dreams, don’t forget to find that moonlit trail, grasp the hand of that beautiful human being that travels this road with you, and let Love open the doors to a lifetime of more than enough, of more than you could ask for or imagine.
